HASTINGSSan Antonio Express-News: Obituaries HASTINGS Ryan Clark Hastings, 16, of San Antonio,
died November 2, 2000 as the result of a car accident. He was born
in Dallas, April 20, 1984. He attended William Howard Taft High School
in San Antonio where he was a junior and member of the Varsity Debate
Team, which was a passion of his. He was chosen by his school to be
a member of the Congressional Youth Leadership Council and recently
attended the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Larry T. and Marilyn Hastings;
mother, Linda Trickel; stepfather, Dana Goodrich; sister, Sara Hastings;
stepsisters, Julie, Allyson and Whitney Shepperd; grandparents, Dr.
C.B. and Jeanette Hastings, and John and Charlotte Clark; great-uncles,
Vernon Reed Griffin and Jerry Griffin; aunts and uncles, Roger Hastings,
John and Helen Hastings, Abigail Hastings, Nancy and Ken Sehested and
Mike and Tammy Clark and many cousins. Ryan was considered by many
to be one of 'the brightest and best' and he will be greatly missed,
but we know that he is in the loving arms of the Father. A Memorial
Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 6, 2000 in Ellis
Chapel of the Park Cities Baptist Church. Interment will be private
for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be
made to the Youth Ministry or the library of the Park Cities Baptist
Church or the William Howard Taft Debate Club in San Antonio. |
